Proofreading & Editing
Native-speaker review of existing translations or originally written texts for accuracy, style, and fluency.
Proofreading & Editing
Proofreading and editing are not the same thing, and it is worth knowing what you are asking for. Proofreading checks a final document for errors: spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting. Editing reviews a text more broadly for clarity, consistency, and natural-sounding language. We offer both, and we can combine them into a single pass for most document types.
This service is most commonly used for three things: reviewing a translation produced internally or by a previous supplier, reviewing a text originally written in a second language by a non-native speaker, and final-pass review of marketing or communications material before publication.
Our proofreaders and editors are native speakers of the target language with professional backgrounds in their respective fields. A pharmaceutical document goes to a native speaker with pharma experience. A legal text goes to someone who reads and writes legal language professionally. We do not send your medical document to a general copywriter and call it proofreading.

"We had used two other agencies for pharmaceutical translations. Panda Translation was the first to raise specific questions about our regulatory context before starting work. That made a real difference to the output."
